Dr Jun Dai

Jun Dai completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Western Sydney University in 2013. He then completed a Master of Clinical Epidemiology at University of Newcastle in 2017. He completed his internship, residency, basic physician training, and advanced training in various teaching hospitals in Sydney.

In 2022, he moved to Victoria to take up various leadership roles at Sale Hospital. He expanded geriatric services at Sale hospital by submitting a business plan for a residential outreach service that was well received by the executive team and resulted in funding for an extra 0.5 FTE geriatrician position. He expanded rehab services at Sale by working the multidisciplinary team to trial a ‘rehab at home’ model of care. He grew stroke services at Sale by successfully applying for the BUILDS project to expand there. He also revived the rapid access TIA clinic and facilitated weekly joint sessions with a telehealth stroke neurologist to discuss complex cases. Sale Hospital received the World Stroke Organization Gold Status Award in 2022.

Jun is now a Geriatrician at Werribee Mercy Hospital.

In his free time, Jun continues to assist rural and remote communities through outreach clinics and telehealth. Jun is also passionate about research and has peer reviewed publications on ‘falls prevention’, ‘RACF outreach services’, ‘dementia’, and ‘telemedicine’. Some works have been presented at national conferences and acknowledged with professional society awards.
