Maryvale Private has a Community Advisory Committee (CAC) whose role is to ensure the voices of patients, family members, carers and interested community members are heard and included in the planning and development of patient care and services.

The group meets four times a year to review patient documentation, safety, quality data, and processes and systems that may improve patient care. It reports to the board.

The CAC comprises five community members and a representative of the hospital’s Board of Directors.

The current chair of the CAC is May Sennett. Watch this video to see how May became involved in the CAC and how it works.

Membership of the CAC is open to those who:

  • Live in the Gippsland region or who access the hospital’s services
  • Reflect the diversity of the community
  • Have the ability to represent the community.

If you are interested in providing feedback, ideas or suggestions about our care and services, or if you would like to get involved with the CAC, please email enquiry@maryvaleph.com.au or phone (03) 5132 1201.
